Common questions about TOFL leather products — glove laces, boot laces, leather straps, boat shoe lacing, and how to care for them.
Our TOFL Glove Lace Kit includes two 72-inch leather laces (3/16" wide, 1/8" thick) and a lacing needle. Remove the old lace, thread the new lace through the same eyelets following the original pattern, then pull tight and tie off. The leather softens with use.
Yes. All TOFL glove laces are ambidextrous and work for both right-handed and left-handed catcher's gloves and fielding gloves.
The Lace Kit includes the lacing needle plus the leather laces. Glove Laces are the leather strips alone — choose this if you already have a needle.
The TOFL Glove Wrap & Mitt Shaper is an elastic former and pocket maker used to break in new gloves and maintain pocket shape between sessions. It fits both small and large gloves.
Properly cared for, full-grain leather boot laces last for years. Conditioning them once or twice a season with a quality leather conditioner extends their life significantly.
Yes. We offer logger-style leather boot laces in 54-inch and 108-inch lengths, available in single pairs or 3-pair packs.

TOFL leather straps come in 72-inch lengths, in 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4" widths, with multiple color options.

All TOFL leather is sourced from North American cows. We select for grain, density, and how the hide ages over time.
Yes — TOFL uses full-grain leather, the highest quality cut of the hide, which retains the natural grain pattern and develops a richer patina over time.
For laces and straps, work the leather between your hands or wrap and unwrap it several times. A small amount of leather conditioner can speed the process. Avoid soaking leather in water — it weakens the fibers.
Wipe with a dry or barely-damp cloth to remove dirt. Apply a quality leather conditioner once or twice a year. Store away from direct sunlight and extreme humidity.
